Florida Man Charged with Double Murder and Dismemberment in St. Petersburg Case

Authorities in St. Petersburg, Florida, have charged KIRK HYSELL JR., 41, with two counts of first-degree murder following the brutal killings of his girlfriend and her mother. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred on Saturday morning, with a 911 call alerting deputies to the scene.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the body of CHRISTINA DONZERO, 34, in a bedroom, suffering from multiple stab wounds. In the garage, they found the body of BETTI SUZANNE THEVENET DONZERO, 75, who had also been stabbed to death. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, one of the victims was suffocated and stabbed, while the other was stabbed and dismembered.

HYSELL was found in the home’s bathroom with self-inflicted injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Detectives revealed that HYSELL allegedly confessed to his daughter that he had killed his girlfriend, prompting her to call 911. The affidavit further states that HYSELL verbally directed family members to the victims’ bodies.

Officials reported that HYSELL admitted to the murders, stating he initially planned to kill the entire family. He also allegedly expressed intentions to harm other family members if released, vowing to “do it again.”

Once discharged from the hospital, HYSELL will be taken to the Pinellas County Jail. The sheriff’s office has not yet disclosed which victim was dismembered.
