Minutes after an 18-year-old suspect allegedly shot a woman at a Nashville park, he was captured on video opening fire at an approaching police vehicle. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) released footage from Officer JEFF LUBEY‘s patrol car on Wednesday night, showing the moment EMMANUEL ORR, 18, realized law enforcement had spotted him and began shooting.
The video depicts the police car slowly approaching ORR, who was suspected of shooting a woman at Cedar Hill Park minutes earlier, as he walked along the side of the road. Suddenly, ORR turned around, aimed a firearm at the patrol car, and started firing at LUBEY.
ORR then fled toward a nearby restaurant, where he reportedly hid in a bathroom before ultimately surrendering to authorities. LUBEY was unharmed during the incident, according to the MNPD.
The incident has sparked discussions about public safety and law enforcement response in the area.
